About us
Since 2005, we have been involved in aquaponics and operate our own systems. Our customers value our extensive experience and expertise, which help them become successful themselves.
After gaining extensive experience in various sectors of industry and agriculture, we made the decision in 2019 to pool our resources and jointly establish ProAquaponik GmbH in Austria. Following our Vision we are committed to making the benefits of aquaponic systems accessible internationally for providing high-quality fish and vegetables to humanity.
To continually expand our knowledge of aquaponics, we operate a commercial test facility - the Andersfarm, and an entry-level test facility - the Gartenfarm. The number of systems builtby our customers based on our plans continues to grow steadily, and we receive many positive feedback about the successful operation of existing customer systems, which naturally delights us and reinforces our work.

Engagierte Fachleute, die unseren Erfolg vorantreiben

Manfred Hudjetz
Sales and consulting
Mr. Manfred Hudjetz MBA started working as a management consultant in 1997, assisting industrial and commercial enterprises in the areas of sales, marketing, and product placement.
In 2012, he founded his advertising agency in Upper Austria and, through his extensive network, came into contact with three farmers in the same year who were already facing financial difficulties due to negative price developments. With his support, the families transformed their farms into direct marketing businesses within a few months, making them independent, successful, crisis-resistant, and, as Manfred likes to say, "enkerlfit" (fit for grandchildren).
Since 2019, he has been implementing projects with ProAquaponik GmbH, enabling farmers to produce fish and vegetables regionally and sustainably.

Dipl. Ing. (FH) Wolfgang Leitner studied Automated Systems and Process Engineering in Upper Austria and worked in various industrial enterprises in Austria and Spain.
Since 2017, he has been working as an independent entrepreneur, creating documentation and videos to explain corporate relationships and serve as operational and maintenance guides.
In 2020, he began collaborating with Manfred Hudjetz to support farmers in implementing their direct marketing projects, focusing primarily on designing processing facilities, developing HACCP concepts, and business calculations.
Since 2022, he has been developing facility concepts for ProAquaponik GmbH and representing the company as its managing director.

Peter Neudecker
Development & Training
Mag. Peter Neudecker studied business administration and worked in international companies as a project manager and IT consultant before founding his first IT company in 1990.
Together with various partners, he founded additional companies and became a pioneer in the field of IT security.
In 2005, he built the first aquaponics system on the rooftop terrace of his apartment in Vienna. Over the following years, he continuously improved his systems until, after exiting the IT industry, he moved to the countryside and built his currently active 20-ton system in 2018. With the establishment of Andersfarm GmbH, he made his accumulated knowledge accessible to the public in the form of training courses, system plans, and components, and is now regarded as the expert in aquaponics.

What drives us...
We help to make humanity's supply of fish and vegetables sustainable, safe and resource-saving.
One of humanity's central tasks in the coming decades will be to ensure sustainable, environmentally friendly, and healthy nutrition for the population. We are convinced that this should not be entrusted to a few multinational corporations or specific regions of the world, but rather that a decentralized network of producers, who produce food close to consumers' places of residence, is the right solution. Additionally, we believe that fish and vegetables will play a central role in the balanced provision of food for people. To ensure this, no production system is better suited than aquaponics.
We provide farmers and entrepreneurs online with all the necessary information so they can build and operate their own aquaponics system with minimal risk.
For solving a global issue, a global approach is needed. As a company with just one location in the heart of Europe, we achieve this by optimizing our products as an online offering. All information is available in multiple languages and ready for download. Training can be conducted either through self-paced e-learning or webinars. Support is provided via telephone or video conferences.
We help our customers achieve economic success through low investment, operational, and maintenance costs, as well as knowledge building and support.
Our facility design is geared towards creating a durable, resource-efficient, and thus sustainable production site by maximizing the utilization of physical principles and employing cost-effective, energy-saving components. The labor and maintenance efforts are minimized, and resilience to disruptions is maximized.
