Entry Level Systems

If you're enthusiastic about aquaponics but unsure if it's the right fit for your agriculture, then take an intermediate step.

Even though the investment required for a commercial aquaponics production system is relatively low compared to other forms of agricultural production, doubts and questions often arise:

"Can I truly produce fish and vegetables at the highest quality level?"

"Is slaughtering and filleting fish something I can do?"

"Are there enough customers in my region who will buy my products?"

If you spend years pondering over these questions without finding answers, there's a high likelihood that you'll never make a decision. And thus, you'll never know if aquaponics might have been the right path to the future.

Therefore, we recommend building a small but professional system and gaining experience for 1 to 2 years at an anual fish production up to 600kg (e.g. African Catfish) and a lot of vegetables.

If it turns out that aquaponics isn't for you, you have invested little but learned a lot. However, if you realize that producing and selling fish and vegetables are perfect for you, then the accumulated knowledge brings you in the perfect position to start a larger system.

When building your own first aquaponics system, the aqua area, where the fish live and are fattened, is the more complex and therefore more challenging part to construct. We offer two options for this:

The AP-1000 aqua module is a ready-made device equipped with all necessary pumps and filters, featuring both inlet and outlet with plug-in DN50 pipe sockets. It can be filled with water immediately upon installation and put into operation.

The construction manual for the 3-IBC system is a detailed step-by-step guide for building a compact aquaculture setup. The center piece of the system consists of 3 1000-liter IBC tanks. The materials can be sourced from hardware stores or online platforms.

We also offer a construction manual for the hydroponics section, which describes the basic structure and provides valuable tips on layout and materials.

Depending on the system layout and specifications, a beginner's setup can be built for under EUR 10,000.
