Martin Temmel's aquaponics system is located entirely in a specially constructed greenhouse. He uses insulated tank covers and heats the water by connecting it to his wood chip heating system in order to be able to operate the aquaculture even in the winter temperatures in Styria.
Martin's plant produces around 15 tonnes of fish a year, which he markets directly to customers in the region.
